About

Hi, I am Alexandra Wins

I am a Research Scientist at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology and a PhD Student at Karlsruhe Insitute of Technology.

During my master studies at KIT, I focused particularly on subject areas Data Science and Test Automation. I wrote my Master Thesis „Analysis of conditional rules for the purpose of generation of test cases in product configuration“ at the Institute of Theoretical Informatics (ITI) in cooperation with CAS Software AG. Following my graduation, I worked one and a half years as a Full Stack Software Engineer. Since October 2019, I am a research scientist in the field of Software Engineering (SE). My special research interests are mobility and multimodal routing.

About

  • October 2019 - today

    Research Scientist

I am currenty working at Research Center for Information Technology (FZI) as a Research Scientist in the field of Software Engineering.

  • June 2018 - September 2019

    Software Engineer

As a full stack software engineer at CAS Software AG I have developed a product configurator for automotive industry in a scrum development team. Among technologies I have used most at CAS Software AG were: Java, JavaScript, Sass, JSF, JEE, REST, RCP, Hibernate Spring Boot, Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, Docker, Maven JUnit and Selenium.

  • October 2017 - April 2018

    Working Student

As a working student at CAS Software AG I took over software development tasks. During this time I worked with Java, JEE, RCP, Hibernate, Jenkins, JUnit

  • April 2017 - October 2017

    Master Thesis

I wrote my master thesis at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology at the Institute of Theoretical Computer Science in cooperation with CAS Software AG. The theme of my thesis was automatic test generation in product configuration using combinatorial testing of interactions (see more in projects section below). As part of my master thesis I analyzed, optimized and implemented various state of the art algorithms for generation of covering arrays.

  • October 2016 - March 2017

    Internship

As an intern at SAP I developed a prototype of a Web Application with SAPUI5 Javascript toolkit, which helps developers to analyze and navigate through system error messages.

  • October 2014 - Mai 2018

    M. Sc. Information Engineering and Management

Information Engineering and Management faculty at KIT combines computer science with economics and law. During my Master Studies I have completed varios projects, more about it you can find in the projects section below.
